~Dr. George Tiller. Three years ago today Dr. Tiller, an abortion provider in Wichita, Kansas, was murdered. Today we remember his courageous and compassionate work as both a health care provider and a women’s health advocate. Our thoughts are with Dr. Tiller’s family and loved ones.

On a side note, I’d like to point out that I have played violent video games through out my childhood and my adult life, and this story is too gory for me. I found the pictures of what the guys face looked like after the attack, and I really wish I hadn’t. I really, really wish I could unsee them. So, yeah, take that as a grain of salt.
I’ve stopped following the “Jon Stewart” and “Stephen Colbert” tags on Tumblr. Not because I don’t love them, but reading posts from 20something girls fawning over nearly fifty year old men is not good for my self esteem.
